Met Alex Pardee again! Went by his booth to get a signed sketch, and while I was in line someone noticed my Thrice backpack and we started talking about the Farewell Tour. I almost cried. Thrice fans at #SDCC. :’)

So today started off with a cup of tea and jamming out to Thrice and Kimbra on our way to San Francisco. We soon made it and explored Chinatown for the bazillionth time. Taste tested various types of tea, and of course… burned my tongue. Typical me. We then left for dinner before the show, and stopped at the Herbivore and had a delicious vegan dinner. Vegan pizza is always the bomb. Anyway, after we left we figured we had about an hour or two until the doors opened for the show so we were trying to figure out what to do until then. We drove by the venue and a line had already formed, so we went back and got in line. IT WAS SO COLD. Something is wrong when you are in California and can partially see your breath in the middle of June! Gotta love SF’s year round cool-breezy weather. By the time we got in, we watched the first two opening acts from the balcony seats, that way our feet wouldn’t be tired already when Thrice came up. But I must say, both O’Brother and Animals As Leaders know how to put on a freaking show. Especially Animals As Leaders. They have mad talent. If you haven’t checked out these bands’ music before, make sure to do so. So when the stage was in transition for Thrice we came down and got ready for madness, even though the crowd seemed pretty chill. And sure enough, once they came on stage, people lost their minds. It was beautiful chaos. Aside from the smell of weed and drunk people, amazing doesn’t even begin to describe the experience I had tonight. I’ve never felt so alive at a concert. I’ve never felt so true and in tune with the music being played. It was glorious. We got them to come out for TWO ENCORES. I’m so thankful they gave us those, and their time for a few more songs. They played two of my favorite songs which made the night that much more special for me: “Of Dust And Nations” and closing out with “Anthology”. To top it all off I met one of my favorite people from tumblr, thevinckanator, and the guitarist from Thrice, Teppei. He was nice enough to sign my ticket as well. Tomorrow

Getting up early and heading to San Francisco. Gonna do some exploring around the city with my mom and sis. Then we’re headed to the Thrice concert.

Should be an unforgettable day.
